CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
Already a 16-time gold medallist at National Age Championship level, Jayden Hadler is one of the brightest young talents to make a splash on the Australian swimming scene this decade.

At the 2009 Australian Championships (World Championship Trials), racing against open competition, Jayden finished seventh in the 200m Butterfly, ninth in the 200m Individual Medley and tenth in the 100m Butterfly. A month later he won six gold and a silver at the Australian Age Championships. Jayden followed these strong performances with a dominant display at the QLD State Championships with two new Australian records. In January 2009 Jayden was fourth in the 100m Butterfly at the Junior Pan Pacific Championships, setting an Australian Age record along the way. This came just four weeks after he broke Australian Age records in the 200m Butterfly and 200m Individual Medley at the Queensland Championships. Recently, Jayden was named Male Swimmer of the Series after outstanding performances in the Trans Tasman Tour. At the 2008 Australian Short Course Championships Jayden made his first big impression on his older rivals, winning silver in the 200m Butterfly and in doing so becoming the youngest male open medallist on the national stage in memory. Previously Jayden had won six gold medals at the 2008 Australian Age Championships and four gold medals at the same meet in 2006. Out of the pool, Jayden is an incredibly mature and intelligent young man with a vibrant and happy personality, making him equally as confident in front of camera or mixing with the older swimmers he races and trains with. Currently completing year 11 at Southern Cross Catholic College, Scarborough, where his favourite subject is Health / PE, Jayden combines the pressure of study, training and racing with remarkable professionalism. Jayden’s father Steve was his first swimming coach and with his wife Colleen provides a very supportive and encouraging environment for Jayden to strive to achieve his goals in. With an exciting future ahead, we look forward to watching Jayden establish himself as a regular member of Australia’s senior swim team.
